CScore.LIGHT is used by Compliance Standards’ end-user corporate customers to assess their ITAD vendors’ performance. It is used as a light survey instrument, which does not provide ratings or rankings, but acts as an information gathering system that give companies comparative information necessary to select an ITAD vendor.
When an organization wants to prequalify ITAD vendors, it can use this tool to do so. The tool utilizes the same backbone analysis as CSoreX, but without scoring or certification. Data remains confidential.
Whether you are a financial services company, a large healthcare organization or a government agency, there are several IT asset disposition firms in the market that have the ability to serve your needs. Because the industry is poorly covered by the analyst community, most of the information received by IT departments or procurement officers tasked to design a compliant and cost effective end-of-life program for IT equipment, is produced by the ITAD industry itself. There has been very little checks and balances from third-party and independent voice, although the sector currently has certification bodies. These bodies are largely focused on one aspect of ITAD or the other: data security, environmental compliance, etc. While they may be extremely strong in one area, they may be lacking expertise in other areas.
CScore.LIGHT is an assessment tool that takes into account the broad business requirements of proper and compliance ITAD. Using this tool, you, as a representative of an end-user company, should be able to see what ITAD vendors do.
